Our shorts were closed out on March 11, 2008
Fueltek (NAS: FTEK $16.57 03/14/08)
We played Fueltek from the long side from Feb. 22 to Mar. 4. We lost
$27.00 on a 100 share trade. Several of the longs we played in 2008
suffered the same fate. They crossed our moving averages indicating
an uptrend, then petered out. Fueltek has pulled back and as you can
see by the chart if it breaks below this support line, it could drop 2
bucks to the previous low.
VIMPEL (NYSE: VIP $31.73 03/14/08)
If you check back on the first shorting opportunity we posted on
February 10, you can see that we shorted VIP, then got stopped out.
We have drawn a line indicating where the MA crosses were. VIP again
became a shorting opportunity on Feb. 29 at 34.73. We did not play
the short at this time as we felt we had better opportunities such as
PVH and WOR.
